Since its opening in 1979, the World Famous Laugh Factory has been one of the nation's premier comedy clubs. Its stage has been graced by such legends as Richard Pryor, Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, Rodney Dangerfield, Robin Williams, George Carlin, Damon Wayans, Adam Sandler, Dave Chappelle, Bob Saget, Paul Rodriguez, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Tucker and Dane Cook. Today America's best comics regularly perform at the Laugh Factory and the club remains as one of the seminal training grounds for up and coming comedians. Its Open Mic Night has provided a showcase for untested performers from around the world and the Laugh Factory was one of the first comedy clubs to break racial and social barriers by launching Latino Night with Paul Rodriguez and the Black Pack with Paul Mooney almost 26 years ago, and Coming Out of the Closet five years later.
